About Triona Lydia Leo
Triona’s experience in leadership, mentoring, and coaching, alongside her clinical training, has shaped her belief that growth is not about becoming someone different, but about developing a deeper understanding and acceptance of oneself. She believes therapy is a space where clients can come as they are, without judgement or the expectation to have everything figured out. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in acceptance, authenticity, and self-compassion. She works alongside her clients to better understand their experiences, explore what matters to them, and find ways of moving forward that feel meaningful and authentic. Through this process, she hopes to support clients in navigating their challenges, developing a stronger sense of self, and growing into the person they want to be.
Client Groups & Clinical Experience
Triona works primarily with adults experiencing concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, emotional difficulties, adjustment, self-esteem, and life transitions. She also has clinical experience supporting adults with autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
Her therapeutic approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which she integrates according to each client’s needs and goals. As an LGBTQIA+ ally, Triona is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive space where clients can feel accepted and supported in exploring their experiences and identities.
