Carrine Loh Kar Mun

Clinical Psychologist, MindNexis

Carrine is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC), holding a Bachelor of Psychology from The University of Western Australia, a Master of Clinical Psychology from IMU University, Malaysia, and a Master of Clinical Cognitive Neuroscience from Sheffield Hallam University, UK. Her training, combined with her clinical experience, has equipped her with a deep understanding of the psychological, cognitive, and neurodevelopmental factors that shape human behaviour and well-being.

Her therapeutic approach is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while thoughtfully integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to tailor her work to each individual’s unique needs and circumstances. She believes that every person possesses an inherent capacity for growth, and that meaningful change unfolds best within a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where individuals feel truly heard, respected, and understood.

Carrine has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. She collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams including developmental paediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavioural therapists to provide holistic, integrated care that addresses the full spectrum of a client’s needs. She is skilled in conducting comprehensive psychological and developmental assessments across behavioural and cognitive domains, and delivering evidence-based interventions that are thoughtfully tailored to support each client’s journey toward well-being.

Her background also includes supporting children and teenagers with neurodevelopmental challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and learning difficulties, in her capacity as a behavioral therapist. Alongside this, she provides essential psychoeducation for parents, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to better understand and support their children’s development at home and in school settings.

Beyond her clinical practice, Carrine is deeply committed to community mental health advocacy. She is actively involved in outreach initiatives and psychoeducation programmes, and regularly delivers talks in schools to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and foster emotional resilience among young people. She has worked with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, and is passionate about making mental health support accessible, inclusive,
