About Bryan
Alongside clinical practice, Bryan enjoys and is actively lecturing in Psychology to undergraduate students for the past 4 years. This dual engagement in both practice and academia allows him to integrate theoretical knowledge with real-world clinical insight – ensuring his work stays informed by evidence, and is relevant practically.
In addition, he brings two years of experience in Human Resources, before entering mental health professional practice in 2021. This background also complements his clinical work with a strong understanding of workplace and organisational functioning and systems. His engagement with the corporate sector continues in the form of delivering mental health talks from time-to-time throughout Asia Pacific, and providing Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services.
Beyond work, Bryan finds grounding in nature, often spending time at local parks or on the swings, enjoying dreampop music and reading or writing poetry. These moments of stillness and creativity reveal his appreciation for reflection, emotional depth, and the veiled dimensions of our human experience.
Client Groups & Clinical Experience
Bryan’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with a focus on symptom management. He is also experienced in providing medium to long-term therapy, where he utilises elements from other evidence-based models to appreciate the complexity and uniqueness of each individual’s lived experience as he journeys with them.
Throughout his clinical practice, Bryan has administered numerous psychological assessments focusing on neurodevelopmental conditions, including cognitive (IQ), ADHD, & ASD evaluations, spanning later childhood through adulthood.
In therapy, he has worked with individuals presenting with mood and anxiety disorders, behavioural issues, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), emotional regulation difficulties, relationship and adjustment concerns, stress-related issues, and matters related to identity and sexuality. Currently, he shares a special clinical interest in working with issues related to men’s psychological well-being.
He values the richness that each client brings to the therapeutic space and regards therapy as a reciprocal process of learning and understanding. So central to his practice is an emphasis on warmth, compassion, openness, and authenticity. He believes that therapy is a collaborative and human process, one that can hold space for both moments of lightness and laughter, as well as having difficult honest conversations that delve into deeper inward exploration and outward growth.
